October 19, 2010

KCCD to Host 9th Foreclosure Prevention Fair in Partnership with City of Carson on October 9th, 2010!

September 21, 2010

KCCD is partnering with the City of Carson to provide foreclosure prevention services to distressed homeowners in the South Bay area including the cities of Carson, Long Beach, and Torrance on October 9th, 2010. The foreclosure prevention fair will feature housing and banking industry experts who will provide distressed homeowners with the most up to date information on how to prevent foreclosures and save their homes. KCCD’s HUD-approved housing counselors will be onsite to assist homeowners in filling out an application form, the first important step of receiving a loan modification. Korean, Spanish, and Chinese interpretation services will be provided so anyone seeking loan modification and foreclosure prevention services is encouraged to come out to the foreclosure prevention fair and to take the first step to saving their homes.

KCCD is the largest and most experienced Asian-American organization involved in building community development, having assisted thousands of homeowners in dozens of states. To date, KCCD has saved over $81 million in mortgages from foreclosure.  The KCCD Housing Counseling Agency is a HUD-approved and NeighborWorks- certified agency, providing loan modification services free of charge.  This free event is open to the public and to all homeowners experiencing hardship and at risk of foreclosure.

At the event, workshop topics will cover the foreclosure process,  applying for loan modification, short sale options and the new Obama Loan Modification Programs.  HUD-approved counselors will be available to answer homeowners’ questions and provide immediate help by assisting with loan modification applications.  Homeowners needing on-site assistance are required to bring: (1) their latest mortgage statement: (2) their 2009 tax return documents: (3) their latest property tax statement and latest property insurance statement.
